I started this morning a little late than usual. There upon, I went downstairs. My eyes got fixated to my mother as she was watching a YouTube video just like last night which every another day we all are doing.
I mean, just check in yourself. Don’t you think you are spending most of your time on a different social media platforms.
Aren’t you just fixating your eyes on one after another screen. With whole another level as pandemic has taken place now what else can you expect from yourself. Right?
Well, for sure. Yes!
As everything has shifted digitally – Learning has converted into online classes, corporate life mostly allowed their employees to start working from home.
So what’s next?
Aren’t you going to spend most of your time at home. Which means you are allowed to laze around, complete your task at your own pace until you aren’t given any deadline, watch news channels to keep yourself updated from current status of pandemic or the world. Basically everything which can lead to unhealthy lifestyle physically and most important mentally.
Ever wondered why gyms are really crowded?
Ever tried to find out that going to gym which makes you think that it is doing wonders to your body is not really all about looking good or staying healthy. It also has a lot to do with your mental wellbeing as well. Remember a sound mind give rise to a sound body. In order to keep your mind healthy it is always a better idea to exhaust your body by working out.
Consider your mind as
A Weapon – which make a shift into your lifestyle in positive way.
A Mother – which finds your lost things out of no where.
A Watch – without which you will never know what are you upto.
Books – without the wisdom of it people would keep wandering their whole life.
Colors – without it you don’t even feel like watching the world through your eyes.
Well anyway, possibilities are endless. I have just articulated with tad bit examples.
Now as you have understood a bit with my examples that what your mind do for you day in and day out to keep you going why don’t you treat it as a temple or maybe something which you cannot imagine this world without.
Here some of the ways you can deal with in order to keep your mind healthy and treat mental wellness as your priority.
- Take a weekly sabbatical – In ancient days seventh day of the week was considered as the Sabbath. It includes spending time with family and hours in deep reflection and self renewal. As the pace of life quickened this tradition has lost. So, taking a weekly sabbatical can bring joy to your mind and life equally.
- Take some time to walk in nature – Walking is a true form of letting go stress which your mind carries often regarding work and personal life or maybe the heaviness which doesn’t belong to be there. Let it go!
- Cut yourself off from news channels – Updating ourselves to news means keeping ourselves updated about what’s going on in the world in which we are living. Sure, but not always it is a good choice to know everything. Because at the end of the day, it is you who has to filter what’s in your mind – good or bad. So, restricting you’re a bit of worldly news can make the process easier.
- Social media detox – As I said earlier, Life has become a series of screen. For sure you are spending most of your time at social media to keep yourself busy, entertained or to simply cut off boredom. Because social media is a place which has everything to offer. But its you who has filter what is important for you and what’s not.
- Explore what you are feeling mentally or emotionally – Track your days or habits which makes you feel heavy and modify it accordingly.
Well, here I am trying to cope up with sudden changes which are taking place in a good way. Till the time everything get back in track keep your mind joyful. Slow down, a bit because as long as you are moving forward you aren’t failing in life.
