Love Yourself First

You have come too far, my darling, to look back now.

You have enough compassion but it’s the love for yourself that has reached its zenith.

You had denied yourself this for far too long, my love.

Now revel in it, drink from it and pour some for the others who are still in search for it.

Sea of Life

“The eyes close and the mind plays its games, slowly, going under.

Lifeless, with no will to fight, blues overtake me.

But wait! can’t let it win!!

“I” am stronger than the waves that are lapping me,

As life springs back into my limbs.

I breathe out and watch the bubbles of water,

The spirit comes ‘up’ with a single stroke, swimming in the sea of life,

the rays of light shine inside the soul.”

“A rosy path filled with light,

beckons my step into that is right.

Dragonflies and butterflies flutter

Ah! At the wonderment, my lips utter.

Warm daylight rays sparkle into my soul when the night comes, moonlight spreads the cool.

This is Heaven!? Or the same world I found grotesque

when my eyes finally ‘opened’ today, life is actually marvellous.

No Shortcuts

I wouldn’t trade my growth for a short cut.

I want to feel the pain of breaking apart, then gently putting the pieces back together.

I want to revel in the empowerment of healing myself, then soak in the glory of self-love!

Right after that I will be ready to spread the light around, to people who feel that there is no way out of the pain.

It gets better, “I tell you… it gets better and the sun rises again!
