They are funny, uplifting, loyal, soft, squishy and most importantly understanding. Yes, they are none other than your pets! The constant debate between dog lovers and cat lovers is never-ending and vicious but, in the end, we all love our fur balls from the bottom of our hearts. But always remember that dogs are called man’s best friend for a reason! We all know that living with a dog is fun than living without one.
Science and Research have proved some of the physical benefits of having a dog as your pet:

2. Dogs can also teach you to be mindful. If you observe your pet bathing in the sunlight by the window, he is just letting in the heat and energy to warm him up. He is doing nothing else meanwhile. Taking your dog out for a walk can also be a mindful exercise for yourself. Just focus on your pet and let nothing else worry you. Petting them can be your anchor to the present moment. Taken the cuteness into consideration, that doesn’t seem so difficult!

7. Dogs can also reduce your stress. People who have dogs as their pets tend to take occasional breaks in between work to play with them. This mere interaction with a jolly being can result in a reduction of stress.
8. A few studies were done in 2003 and 2017 which show that children who grow up with dogs are high on empathy, love and compassion. They are securely attached and develop a friendly personality.
9. Having a dog makes a person more responsible. One learns to take responsibility for another life and take care of them.
10. Your pets make you feel needed and important. They shower you with all their innocent love and are happy when they get your attention.
11. They help you to have a healthy routine. Taking care of a dog needs you to get up early in the morning and take them for a walk. This may help you to have breakfast and other meals on time. You get proper physical exercise and thus remain active throughout the day.
12. This is the last but not the least. They shower you with unconditional love!
Most of us like to believe that we take care of our dogs. I think it is mutual. They take care of us as much as we take care of them and sometimes even more.
