Darkness besets the winter days
awakened by springs reviving ways
joy in summer sunshine rays
all seasons of my life.
Consigned to mourn in winter sadness
spring growth erases all the badness
revived by all the summer madness
each moment at a time.
Slumber in the winter snow
spring thaw gives me a place to go
autumn with its golden show
all sights to fill the senses.
Hope in all the growth of spring
despite whatever winter brings
summer comes and I will sing
through seasons of my mind.
