Beetroot widely known as Beet came to India from Southeast Asia. For 2000 years people have been eating Beet for the therapeutic use.  

Beetroot is the powerhouse of essential vitamins and nutrients. Beets can not only reduce inflammation but also protect against cancer. According to Ayurvedic research it is excellent source of vitamin c and iron and folate which cures anaemia. 

So include this go-to vegetable in your day to day diet in the form of juice, salad, hummus, flavoured yogurt and avail loads of benefits. The best time to eat beet is breakfast time.
