Sometimes you can only find heaven by slowly backing away from hell.
-Carrie Fisher
Every addiction that fills up the emptiness has a story, story in a phase of time,
Where nothing seems impossible, and also, where unfortunately, nothing is fine.
This is An Addiction Verse, where the story of every addiction is told,
Some bad but a lot good alternately, let’s start with the verse till untold.
First is food, a heaven on Earth; exploding the senses, a bliss for taste buds.
Second comes the video games, dungeons, quests and killing requests; level up the skills and realize the power of interest
Third comes shopping, a true enemy on ledge; a small price tag and the mannequins on stage.
Fourth are the cellphones, a digital attachment in hand; glazing eyes on screen, getting the world’s knowledge at our command.
Fifth is exercise, doing gym any day any time; enjoying from the pain and letting the fatigue attack again.
Sixth is a stick, lighted by the fire; end result is the ashes and the fun in is the smokey midair.
Seventh is love, a bittersweet wish; a desire for closeness and a collection of slips.
Eighth is liquor, no idea how to deal with this; its chilly, makes hard to admit defeat and harder to control the need.
Ninth is beauty, that lies in the eyes of the beholder; it is not a possession and not just the preservation of youth, it’s a feeling that elucidates closure.
Tenth is dope, which makes you invincible accost; its company is adored and it is a pleasure at bigger cost.
Last but not the least comes Life: the better obsession than all, where there’s the adventures, the challenges, the passions and the love that consumes; people, places, music, storms, rainbows and flaws, everything in this life is a lovely bloom.
Lastly to mention that attraction last for seconds and infatuation lasts till you find something more flattering; love lasts till society decides to interfere, but addiction is forever tempting.
Special Mentions: Television, Social Networking Sites, Self-Harm, Gambling, Theft, Intercourse, Tobacco.
P.S. – please stay away from immoral addictions. 😇
